About The Story

Kadogoo doesn’t live with a family but in what appears to be a children’s home. Though we don’t know exactly why Kadogoo lives there, the story highlights Kadogoo’s big dream: he wants everyone to know he matters. He wants to be seen, appreciated, and feel that he belongs—just like every child. At first, Kadogoo tries to get attention by writing his name on everything—but this only annoys others. He learns that being helpful, kind, and creative is what truly makes people notice and value him. Ultimately, his acts of care and imagination bring him closer to those around him—and even to a family. This story is a gentle, powerful reminder that children in care also have talents, dreams, and enormous love to give.
